Today, we are talking about fast food, healthy fast food options.
I’m going to be sharing with you the six highest protein-packed fast food options and why.
So next time you’re on the go and you need to pick up a meal that’s healthy and high in protein, I’ve got you covered.
Fast food isn’t most people’s quintessential healthy food or high protein food.
You may think you’re getting a high protein meal at a fast food restaurant, and then you’re shocked to see how little protein is actually in your meal.
So I wanted to share with you some healthier options, especially if you’re on the go in a hurry, or you just have life happening and you need to eat out these six restaurants.
These six high-protein foods are the best choices next time you hit up your local drive-through.
Not to mention, all of these foods get an A+ for their macro profile.
Number 1 comes from Good Old Chick-fil-A
Food number one comes from Good Old Chick-fil-A, and that is the Chick-fil-A grilled nuggets.
Anybody on a weight loss journey, anybody on a health journey, knows that Chick-fil-A is a great option for high-protein foods because everything is chicken-based.
And chicken is one of the leanest high-protein meat options out there. And their grilled nuggets are an excellent, excellent choice.
They’re 130 calories and have 25 grams of protein. That is an excellent ratio 130 calories, 25 grams of protein.
Be mindful of whatever sauce you choose or dip you pick for your nuggets.
That’s where it can get a little bit higher calorie, a little bit higher fat, a little bit less healthy.
But the grilled nuggets at Chick-fil-A, Chef’s Kiss Perfection for high protein.
Number 2 actually comes from Starbucks
Number two actually comes from Starbucks, and this is one of my go-to options for breakfast, really Any time of day, you can pick this up.
And this is their turkey, bacon, cheddar, egg white sandwich. 230 calories and 17 grams of protein.
Not to mention it uses egg white, so it’s lower in fat than a lot of traditional breakfast sandwiches.
Now, we know Starbucks is a little bit on the pricey side.
But if you’re out and about and you’re hungry, this is a really great option.
Sometimes healthy food costs a little bit more than unhealthy food, and this is a prime example of that.
But grab your favorite low-calorie healthy coffee and your breakfast sandwich to go.
Number 3, circle back to Chick-fil-A
Number three, circle back to Chick-fil-A. And I have never tried this, but it is 100% on my list.
And that is the Chick-fil-A Cool Wraps.
It’s 660 calories, so it’s one of the higher calorie options on the menu, but that is still a reasonable amount for a meal.
And what’s great is it has 43 grams of protein.

And you’re getting some leafy greens because there’s some spinach in the cool wrap.
People say that it is a little bit on the dry side without any type of dressing.
So see if you can bring with you a low-calorie sauce or pick one up from Chick-fil-A and just be mindful of how much you’re putting on the wrap.
But for a healthy, high-protein option, this is another fantastic one.
Number 4 is Burrito Bowl
Number four is my go-to at Chipotle, and this is the Burrito Bowl.
Basically, you’re getting everything in a burrito, minus the tortilla, which is very high in calories, very high in saturated fat. It’s chicken, white rice.
If you choose, I typically forego the rice, black beans. I add in extra beans.
There’s a couple of different bean options at Chipotle.
So I’ll forego the rice, or I’ll do half the amount of rice and add some extra beans for the fiber and the extra protein.
Some guacamole, which is great for a healthy fat, and it’s going to give you 45 grams of protein.
So far, this is the highest protein option on the list.
Like I said, it’s basically like having the Chipotle burrito without the wrap The wrap, by the way, is 360 additional calories.
You get all the flavor, all the goodness in the burrito bowl.
Number 5 comes from Burger King
Number 5 comes from Burger King, and this is the Burger King Impossible burger.
So this is their plant-based option. Now, I’ve personally never tried this.
I don’t eat a plant-based diet. I typically don’t eat plant-based meats.
But if you are a vegan, vegetarian, this is a great way to get in your protein at Burger King. 630 calories, 28 grams of protein.
And fans of this burger say it’s almost too good to be true, that they can’t tell the difference between this and a traditional Burger King burger.
So again, if you want a healthier plant-based option, here’s a good one.
Number 6 Grilled chicken cob salad
And last but not least, number 6 comes from Wendy’s.
And this is one of my favorite things to get at Wendy’s when I’m choosing a healthier option, and that is their grilled chicken cob salad.
Now, cob salad is great because it has healthy fats, it also has protein and carbohydrates all in one.
420 calories and 26 grams of protein. For a salad, this is pretty low calorie.
You’d be shocked that sometimes salads at restaurants have more calories than a burger and fries, more fat than a burger and fries.
You’re better off sometimes just getting the burger and fries.
But this is a great salad option from Wendy’s.
Lettuce, grilled chicken, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, eggs, applewood smoked bacon, crispy fried onions, and ranch dressing.
And these calories and protein include the ranch dressing that’s included with the salad.
With dressing, we always just want to be mindful of how much we’re using, be mindful of our portions.
But at Wendy’s, this is a great go too for high protein.
Those are six high protein fast food options, all under 700 calories.
Most of these under 500 calories, under 300 calories.
These are fantastic options to really get your protein in every day and still be able to go out for fast food or have it be convenient when you’re out and about and you need to grab a meal, these six can be your go-to.
