Change your face shape
Do you often look in the mirror wishing for sharper cheekbones or a more defined jawline?
What if I told you that you could naturally reshape your face using yoga?
Let me introduce you to Ananam Yoga, a practice designed specifically for your face.
“Ananam” is derived from Sanskrit, meaning “face.” Today, I’ll guide you through the techniques of Ananam Yoga.
What Influences the Shape of Your Face?
The shape of your face is affected by multiple factors such as genetics, fat distribution, poor posture, mouth breathing, and stress.
By addressing these and practicing Ananam Yoga, you can enhance your facial features naturally.
What is Ananam Yoga?
Ananam Yoga focuses on relaxing and strengthening the muscles in your face.
It helps keep facial muscles supple, prevents premature sagging, promotes blood circulation, and gives your skin a healthy glow.
With regular practice, you’ll notice sharper features and improved elasticity of your face.
Five Effective Ananam Yoga Techniques
1. Tongue Rotation to Reduce Laugh Lines
➛ Place your tongue on the back of your upper lip and move it from left to right in a pendulum motion.
➛ Repeat 5 times, then do the same for the lower lip.
➛ Move your tongue inside the right cheek clockwise and anticlockwise. Repeat on the left cheek.
2. Circular Tongue Movement
➛ Place your tongue on the inside of your cheek and move it in a circular motion: up, right, down, and left.
➛ Ensure it massages the outer gums and cheeks. Practice 3 times on each side.
3. Pout and Hold
➛ Pout your lips and move them to the right side. Hold for 6 counts, then repeat on the left.
4. Jawline Sharpening Exercise
➛ Pucker your lips and jut out your chin and lower jaw. Move them in and out slowly. Repeat 4-5 times.
5. Facial Muscle Tightening
➛ Pucker your lips and move your chin slightly forward and hold. This strengthens the facial muscles effectively.
These exercises target specific facial muscles, improve tone and elasticity, and aid in lymphatic drainage, giving you a sharper and more youthful appearance over time.
Daily Habits for a Defined Face
Ananam Yoga alone isn’t enough—you need to adopt certain habits:
1. Stay Hydrated: Drink 8-10 glasses of water daily to avoid puffiness.
2. Chew Well: Strengthen your jaw muscles by chewing thoroughly on both sides.
3. Maintain Posture: Keep your neck straight and your posture upright to prevent double chins.
4. Eat Collagen-Rich Foods: Include spinach, berries, and nuts in your diet for skin elasticity.
5. Stop Mouth Breathing: It can lead to sagging chins.
6. Manage Stress: Stress negatively impacts your face, so prioritize relaxation and self-care.
Commitment Brings Results
Dedicate just 10-15 minutes daily to these facial yoga techniques.
